immigration

immigration is not a threat. it is a fundamental part of who we are. but under the current regime, immigrants are being hunted, detained, and discarded. these policies are not about security. they are about control, about creating a permanent underclass, about using fear as a weapon.

mass deportations are coming. project 2025 outlines plans for the "largest deportation program in american history," aiming to remove millions of undocumented individuals, many of whom have lived here for decades. families will be torn apart, communities will be devastated, and people will be forced back into dangerous situations they fled from. this is not about enforcing laws. this is about ethnic cleansing.

concentration camps are being built. detention facilities in texas and florida are expanding, while guantanamo bay is being prepared to house asylum seekers and those awaiting deportation. entire families will be placed in indefinite detention, treated as criminals simply for seeking a better life. conditions in these camps are already known to be inhumane, with reports of abuse, forced labor, and medical neglect. history has shown us what happens next. these are not just prisons. they are places of suffering, designed to break people.

bounties have been placed on undocumented people. state-funded programs are offering financial rewards to citizens who report "illegals" to authorities. this encourages racial profiling, paranoia, and vigilante justice. neighbors will turn on neighbors, workers will be afraid to seek medical care or legal help, and entire communities will live in constant fear. this is not security. this is fascism.

asylum is being criminalized. under new policies, even those fleeing war, gang violence, and political persecution are being denied entry. expedited removals allow ice to deport individuals without hearings, even when they have legitimate asylum claims. people who legally turn themselves in at the border are now being arrested and sent to high-security detention centers. seeking safety is not a crime, but they are treating it as one.

sanctuary spaces are under attack. ice is now permitted to conduct arrests in hospitals, schools, and even houses of worship. places that once provided safety and support are now battlegrounds where immigrants are dragged away in front of their families. this does not stop crime. it does not protect anyone. it terrorizes communities and ensures that people stay silent, no matter how desperate their situation.

birthright citizenship is on the chopping block. executive order 14160 is targeting the fourteenth amendment, seeking to deny citizenship to children of certain immigrants. this will create a stateless population of children who have no rights, no protections, and no legal identity. this is not about reform. it is about erasing people before they even have a chance to exist.

refugee programs have been indefinitely suspended. thousands of people who were promised safety in the united states are now stranded in dangerous situations. many were already approved for relocation, but their cases have been revoked without warning. this is a betrayal of american values, a decision that will cost lives.

interior enforcement has escalated. arrests are happening in workplaces, schools, and even courtrooms. immigrants who show up for required legal check-ins are being detained on the spot. instead of encouraging people to follow the law, the government is using compliance as a trap. people are being punished for doing everything right.

legal immigration is being dismantled. project 2025 is making it harder for people to obtain visas, apply for green cards, or become citizens. this is not about stopping illegal immigration. it is about stopping immigration entirely. they want a country that is closed off, that belongs only to a select few.

emergency powers are being abused. immigration policies are being changed overnight using emergency declarations, bypassing congress and the courts. funds meant for other programs are being redirected to border enforcement, including the expansion of private detention centers. this is rule by decree, not democracy.

children are being ripped from their parents, locked in overcrowded facilities, and denied basic medical care. families are being forced to wait in dangerous conditions for months, even years, because asylum hearings are being intentionally delayed. refugees fleeing violence are being sent back to die. officials justify these policies by saying a child is an asset, not a person. they only care about children when they can be used, whether as future labor or as symbols in their propaganda.

if we do not fight back, they will keep pushing further. they will keep creating laws that target the most vulnerable, then use those laws as a model to expand their power. they will keep normalizing cruelty until we forget what compassion looks like.

refuse to be silent. challenge every policy that strips people of their humanity. support mutual aid networks that provide food, shelter, and legal aid to immigrant families. push local and state governments to stand against federal overreach. vote, organize, and resist.

they want people to believe this is just the way things are. that there is nothing we can do. that the machine is too big to fight. but that is a lie. every system of oppression throughout history has depended on people accepting their powerlessness.

do not accept it. not now. not ever.
